Set in Etterbeek, Osteo Jura is the place to start your wellbeing journey. During your initial consultation, you’ll be given the space to discuss your health concerns and find answers to the questions around your physical health. Following a thorough assessment of your body’s function, you will be given an actionable plan to kickstart your recovery.
Osteopathy is a therapy that detects, treats and prevents physical injuries through a holistic approach. It looks at your health in its entirety, connecting different elements about your health to understand the cause of your injury. Understanding the mechanism of injury will help create an effective management plan that will get you back to normal, pain-free living. A variety of treatment modalities are used to support the person’s recovery, including soft tissue work, rehabilitation exercises and advice on lifestyle changes. Every treatment is unique to you and your recovery, and it aims to give you a greater understanding of your body.
Patients often seek osteopathic treatment for lower back pain or neck pain, but Osteopaths are qualified to help with a variety of conditions such as those listed below:
Iona is a Franco-Scottish Osteopath who qualified with Honours from the University College of Osteopathy in London, where she was awarded the Sven Svenson Award for her knowledge and passion for osteopathy.
Her approach is holistic and individualised, supporting each patient in restoring balance, movement and optimal function. She combines hands-on techniques with breathwork, rehabilitation, Pilates and movement-based exercises to create tailored treatment plans that support both recovery and long-term wellbeing.
With a background in dance and training as a teacher in the Margaret Morris Movement method, Iona developed a deep understanding of movement and the demands placed on the body. This experience continues to shape her clinical practice and is reflected in her particular interest in working with athletes and performing artists. Through her work with the Royal Opera House, she supports dancers, singers and athletes in optimising recovery and maintaining physical performance.
Iona has also completed specialised training in paediatric osteopathy and the Mummy MOT, with a particular interest in supporting women throughout pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
She regularly works with pelvic girdle pain, diastasis recti, pelvic floor dysfunction, urinary incontinence and recovery following caesarean birth. Warm and attentive, Iona places great importance on listening to each patient and creating a supportive environment where they can better understand their body and move with greater confidence.
